Our sustainable design principles
Our Sustainable Design Principles are the lens through which we look at all project opportunities.
These Principles are in a deliberate hierarchy, moving from high order considerations through increasing technical detail to arrive at a comprehensive strategy for each project.
- Public Good: Providing benefits for the wider community and the State.
- Ecology and Landscape Led: Planning and design process respects and improves the existing site ecology.
- Identity and Sense of Place: We research and incorporate the cultural and natural history of the site into the design.
- Healthy, Safe and Inclusive: Ensuring everyone who encounters our developments is valued and cared for.
- Optimal use of Resources: To be efficient with resources, consider the full life cycle of materials and the impact of our supply chains. We must also ensure that we measure and report transparently.
Hesperia has developed a set of sustainability initiatives and benchmarks to implement the Sustainable Design Principles in our project work. These function as a starting point for all Hesperia projects to embed in design, construction, and operations, referred to as the Hesperia Project Sustainability Standard Inclusions.

CRC Partnership for RACE 2030
Hesperia has entered a 3-year funding arrangement with the Cooperative Research Centre (CRC), which has the overarching goal of accelerating the transition to Reliable, Affordable, Clean Energy for 2030 (RACE for 2030). Silk K2 Celebrates 6 Star Green Star Facility at Roe Highway Logistics Park
In collaboration with tenant Silk Contract Logistics, Hesperia has successfully achieved Western Australia’s second 6 Star Green Star (Design & As-Built) industrial facility at 106 Logistics Boulevard in Kenwick, within the Roe Highway Logistics Park. This facility is one of only a few in Australia to achieve this prestigious sustainability certification. Spanning 24,000sqm, the $40m Silk K2 facility includes a 700sqm two-storey office, two 100sqm dock offices, a 3,250sqm super canopy, and a 7,350sqm container-rated hardstand.
